But I don’t know how to tell you what my mom and my husband have done. And I don’t know how to get away from it. My belief is that if it was correctly labeled or spoken about, I would have been able to get away from it by now. I haven’t gotten away from it. I got away from my dad’s physical abuse–I just had to get away from him at 18 and I just had to avoid him for 20 years. And then he got old and stopped. But my mom and my ex-husband never stopped, and I can’t explain it because I don’t know how. They both look socially normal.
