I don’t think my life is extraordinary or even slightly interesting. Nothing people want to read about. I live a pretty basic life but my overthinking has my thoughts all over the place and sometimes it’s easier to process and move on from things when you write about them.

I found myself for the first time rather suprised about the fact that there wasn’t much that I wanted to take with me into the new year. I spent the last few weeks really grieving Mark and Cloud and their absense in my life. While everyone has told me how astonishing my growth has been in the last 2 years I’m only really now beginning to see it for myself.

Whilst I knew it was something I wanted to do one day in theory, the impossibility of it all seemed too easy to be swayed by, and whether I would actually eventually have the balls to risk doing it at all seemed like an entirely different matter altogether

People would always tell me I was brave, but I didn’t believe them. At the point I actually moved here they told me more than ever before but I actually knew there was nothing brave about it, it had simply come to the point where it was do or die and something simply HAD to change. But now I believe that I am brave. I can do whatever I put my mind to IF I really want to.

My approach begins with the Backwards Design approach by asking the question, “what will the students do to represent what they learned for the particular lesson?” In this case, I provide students with options to demonstrate their learning. I want to make sure that I can see learning progression for the instructional delivery component.
