Each day I feel my scope continue to widen

Since being home from my mission (for nearly a year and a half now) I have cried over multiple men and many broken dreams, and I tried so hard to force them together and cling to them. I’ve at last reached a point where my heart is tired, and my walls are sturdy and high. I’ve realized that in order to have a dream succeed, it needs to be something you have total control over, something that you can achieve on your own — I cannot continue to lean on somebody else to get me where I’m headed. And now I finally know where I want to go.

I want to be successful and I do not know which path to really take

Keywords: Life , Uncertainty In The 20s

I have failed yet I am so young to many people. Someone said remove the age limit in your dreams and goals and get them done no matter how long it takes. This was a good thing to say but that doesn’t mean that the age won’t cross my mind and I will feel like a failure. The pressure sometimes comes from seeing younger people than me do so much and succeed yet I’m still here.

In the day of my dreams I will be retired

Keywords: cabininthewoods , Dayofmydreams , isolation journals, Journal writing , Reflections

I want to retire. I am ready now to retire, but not sure how to go about it. Maybe one more year of teaching and occasional performances, and then I’ll decide on a new adventure. Gradual retirement will not work for me — too many exciting opportunities are available, and I can’t see to let them go by without accepting the challenge. I have tried to semi-retire, but within a few months my schedule was full again.

Dreams of working in the sports field came in ninth grade

Keywords: {0}

Sports management is a vast field of women and men. I feel like [I’ll] fit right in. although fsw does not offer this major. The University of Florida does, and it’s the number one program and school that offers it. This also happens to be my dream school since a child, so what an ironic idea of going. After receiving my associate’s in arts from FSW, I plan to transfer and finish at UF. Besides school, I do have a life. I work at party city as a cashier. When customers walk in, we say ” welcome to the party,” which has become a part of my daily routine by default. As of now, school is my only focus, and working to maintain the life I want to live. I hope this blog helps me to be more social and learn through others’ experiences. Writing this first post is almost like an open diary—best of luck, classmates.

I want to get excited working on my hopes and dreams again

Keywords: lifestyle

Doesn’t life have a funny way of distracting you from your goals. I was once told in order to find myself I must set goals. I honestly have never been a future planner type of woman. More the spontaneous and in the moment kind of person. Sometimes that’s a blessing and sometimes not so much. I want to start planning my future and settings goals.

I want to forever continue learning

Keywords: journal , lifestyle , philosophy

I’m still working towards my goals, and I think that’s part of the fun in it. There is always something I can do, something I can improve on. I don’t really believe in achieving a dream, because in my mind the notion comes across as stagnant, like it is a clearly defined finish line in which once you are there, you are done.
