It’s like an obsession that I can not get anything out of my head when I see it! It’s insane! My latest purchase was a gold macbook that I wanted for a long time, purchased, returned, then purchased again. I am truly insane. I love to be surrounded by technology and stuff in general, but then at times I look around and see that I have SO MUCH stuff….more than the average person. I am terrible with money and love shopping. I am truly a consumer.

It was a mix of tailwind and cross-tailwind all the way home – the wind having shifted to more of a WSW, and that was a welcome change. We rode the back way in to drop Mike and Diane off and pulled for Phill for the last two miles. We pulled into the driveway with a shade more than 25 miles, almost on the nose, on the computer but only 24.6 on Strava GPS and a smile stretched across my face.

I find my ideas usually emerge from the work I am doing. If I am having a problem, I figure that others will also. If I find something interesting, others might find it interesting as well. Finally, if I just learned something new, then others might want to learn it as well. Whatever I am working on, whatever rabbit hole I have gone down–each serves as fodder for a possible class, presentation or institute course. I never lack for ideas. It’s a bit narcissistic, but it works for me.

My affinity with ascending mountains has likely become an addiction, but a healthy one. I want to do it more, faster, higher and with my challenge. I have hiked Sugarloaf before, but didn’t make it very high up because I was with my kids and there was still snow on the ground.
