I’ve been listening to podcasts that inspire me to write responses, like my experiences with fuckboys, new perspectives on fitness, and enjoying my ordinary life. I want to blog about my recent thrift finds, my new fascination with cast iron cookware, and my obsession with online goodwill.

not only helps us to vanquish those fears, but it also allows us to expand our minds and learn both about said new thing, and about ourselves. And then there’s the rush. There’s nothing quite like or as memorable as the thrill of a new experience.

This experience was connected across the dimension of time. It is something from the past, which I experienced in the present, and will forever continue to do in the future.

The party was a success. Loved how everyone showed up and we spent a really good time. This will be of a core memory.

I began seeing a beautiful pattern of how every life experience and state of being does what it needs to do in every moment. My states of mind where I felt trapped and insecure – that I genuinely believed would never change – stayed for as long as they needed to and eventually left. If not for those stressful times, I would not be physically, emotionally, or mentally well-equipped the way I am now. I recognize this clearly because every day now, I experience the freedom and peace that I once longed for. People entered and left my life in perfect timing to teach me what I needed to learn about myself. Stress stayed for as long as required for me to know how not to identify myself with my emotions. Unfavorable circumstances affected me for as long as they were supposed to.

I want people to be able to connect with what I’m writing, and therefore I’m trying to be as authentic as I can be about what I’m writing. From my personal experiences, the moment I can relate to someone’s story, I immediately feel better, in some way.

It doesn’t matter what it is, go DO things. Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed–so go out and live it. You don’t have to set aside three months to have a great time. Find fun things to do in your local area–go to the Farmer’s Market on a Saturday morning and pick up some fresh produce, go on a hike with a friend, go to a new bookstore and browse, or go on a sunset sail in the city you’re visiting (we did this and it was awesome!) Enjoy God’s creation in any way you can. It doesn’t have to be fancy or even cost you anything other than the gas to get there.

I knew school was primarily going to be paid for using loans or any financial aid I might be provided. There was only one school remotely near my hometown that I would go to if I was accepted, otherwise I wanted to go somewhere in the country that would push me outside my comfort zone. I wanted a larger school than my undergraduate institution that still had a relatively small cohort size. In addition, I was seeking a program with enough clinical and practical experience opportunities that would prepare me to enter the field. I was interested in research, however it was not a make or break for me if the school had adequate clinical/observation experiences.
