I told my friend that I intended to buy at least 10 properties in 10 years. In fact, I was only able to buy 2 properties before 2011. But, because I was very clear about the dream, in fact a goal to achieve, I understand that I needed to buy more than a property in each of the coming years to achieve my goal. That’s how it made me being able to have clear action plan on how to achieve the dream. I knew that I needed to survey more properties so that I could start to have properties to buy. I also knew that I needed to save some money to get ready the deposit to pay for the property. I also needed to know how to keep buying properties after the first 2 residential properties because the loan margin is no longer the same.

And this is the story all about how the girl who didn’t want to be a Director at 30, became a Director at 30 because she finally accepted her value and began viewing Corporate America for that it truly was, a gift. Working a traditional career is a great resource to help fuel and financially support your dreams. You don’t have to love it for the work specifically (although its great if you do), you can love it for what it has the capacity to do for you. I love my job and I am eager to show up everyday and be present because it affords me a lifestyle of happiness and ease while working alongside smart individuals that challenge my critical thinking skills necessary for a life of entrepreneurship. It enables me to pursue my dreams in the slow and steady fashion needed to build something worthwhile and longstanding.

Lately we have really needed to change the way we live. I know I have developed terrible habits. When you just swipe a card and then voila, it’s payed for, I never felt the squeeze. But each transaction was my husband’s hard earned money being taken for granted. The finances began to cause more and more arguments, until my sweet husband just stopped telling me where we were at because he wanted me to have whatever I wanted. My ignorance and desire to keep up appearances was bringing us down a trap I was completely unaware I had been leading my family.
