Most cases people want to buy new clothing and never wear the same outfit twice. I had the great idea of making an app that would show everyone all the clothing in their closets and be able to make new styles with their existing clothing. I wanted to make this brand new and fun because I know many college students want to look good but also save money.

But… I was wrong. I wasn’t independent. I was relying on the job, the company I was working for. Providing them my time, my energy, all that in order to get money and be the unrestrained woman I thought I was. Which is ridiculous. I rely on others to get in my purse what I trade with my sweat, my life resources.

I actually just would like to have a job that I’m happy and passionate about. That pays the bill and allows me to have extra money to have fun and help people. The job that gives satisfaction that even when I have to do overtime, that did not make me groan in anger and frustration. The job that doesn’t require me to sugarcoat and over-promise in the proposal as long as it generates money, doesn’t think about how are we going to deliver that.

I think once I had a job being creative, I had found my calling. I had the freedom after given direction of what was wanted, to design for their company. I know they are many different jobs listed for the Multimedia Design career fields. Some seem more interesting than others. I know I found many that needed photography as well as certificates in Adobe. So far we have only done Photography and I found it very interesting. My photos are decent but I need to work on them a little more if I want to pursue that as a career. It says that a typical photographer makes about 32k a year. I am thinking that may be just a run of the mill photographer. If not, I may steer clear from that field. I know there are a lot of different job titles in advertising. Some include creative director, media director, marketing manager, promotions manager, product develop manager, and a media analyst. Those types of jobs require a little more than just a few certificates but it seems to be worth it for the 102k a year. I am not sure I’d like to have all that responsibility though. I like having the creative freedom and ability to go any way I’d like.

What kind of excuses are you making when it comes to creating/maintaining relationships? My excuses range from work, not wanting to spend money, to still needing to get a workout in haha. Once you have pinpointed your own excuses, also think about the excuses others are using toward you. I’m not saying we should always be skipping work or something but I am saying that no one is too busy for the things and people that truly matter… and if someone is too busy, you deserve better than what they are giving you.
