This is my story. This is where the uprising began … again. I started this blog to share my family’s story on how we rebuilt ourselves through our Faith and our love for each other and Our Father. This isn’t a typical blog, and I am not your typical blogger. This is my first time jumping into social media and sharing my story with the world. There will be all sorts of content, from parenting, to marriage, mental health and physical health. Moments of what feels like insanity with some comical relief and moments to remember that may help others in their journey to rebuilding their own lives.

What I enjoyed about the Bloganuary experience were the different blogging prompts, which seemed random, at least to me. It challenged me to blog about topics I previously would not have. I even wrote a short (very short) story. It allowed me to reminisce about pleasant experiences. It reminded me of books and authors that have inspired me to read and write. Finally, I enjoyed the comradery with fellow bloggers.

We are a somewhat rural town made up of old houses that are more like cabins constructed by people living in San Francisco who wanted a place to stay in the summer along the Russian River. This vacation hot spot has now turned into more affordable full time housing with a tight knit community.

I want to write the rest of my college experience as some “comeback” or “uplifting” story, but that would be very false

The next 2 years were hard. It was probably the hardest thing I’ve done. I walked that line of ineligibility every single semester until I (finally) graduated. Just one semester late, I might add. Back and forth between being able to play the sport I love and not. Retaking classes 2 or 3 times to just get a C-. Killing myself every day just to be average at school and volleyball. I won’t even lie, it sucked. Bad.
