I lovvveee books (obviously). I developed a new-found love for writing as a way to liberate the excess noise and weight I’ve always felt and carried. To pour on paper what goes on in my head (people call me quiet but I’ve realised I actually do love talking sometimes. It’s just very tiring to have to open my mouth to do that). I also love enforcing discipline in my life for as long as I can since realising I wasn’t really a disciplined person. Lastly, I really like music, dancing, drawing, and photographing whatever my eyes find worthy. I mostly like keeping to myself too lol.

I feel AMAZING! I mean all of the things that “they” talk about … better skin, better sleep, better mood … all of the better stuff … it’s a thing. Just sayin…it is REALLY a thing. I never believed it … especially when I was drinking a bottle a wine a night … but I am telling you … it is ALL true.

At that instance he was prepared and knew what was needed. Sometimes he took time to prepare himself to listen and I had to wait. That waiting time is always the most irritating but after the wait time is over, it used to be the best time because I knew I had someone who listened. It is not always about fixing what is broken, it is just about sharing and letting someone know that something is broken.

I want to talk about the sad – talking about the sad make sad go away

How does one talk about their feelings when their feelings make them want to take a lifelong vow of silence? I got one solution – and that is supportive people. All you really need is a good listener. But this is harder said than done. I’m an absolutely garbage listener, my brain interjects with perspectives and comments every two seconds while someone is speaking. It’s a curse, and it’s taken me a long time to quell my natural anxious mind in favour of patient listening. I’m still on that journey, ladies and gentlemen.

Warm blankets wrapped around our shoulders, on top of a hill watching the city lights while drinking hot chocolate with cookies and foil wrapped toasted sandwiches. All the picnic spots in LA close at 10pm. But there are plenty of places to park a car and talk.
