I have decided to specialize as a UI Artist, so have been working to improve my software and art skills. I plan to use this blog to continue documenting my various side quests as I navigate the tricky terrain of the games industry. I will be reflecting on events I have attended, courses and online learning materials I’ve made use of, and new art I have created. In doing so, I hope to better myself as an artist and help others who may be looking to work in the games industry.

As a teenager and young adult, I wanted to be a writer [but] it became apparent that I did not have the dedication or talent to become a published author

[Stories] have been told through the generations and because they focus on human emotions and failings they are as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago

I want someone who can handle my chaos without trying to shrink it

I was trying to convince myself I was happy, that I was where I wanted to be, where I should be — despite every instinct in my body telling me otherwise
