I’m happy to have re-joined the WordPress community. You may also be wondering why I started a new page instead of picking up Diary of a Daydreamer again. We are two months away from our departure. Two months away from leaving everything we know behind. One of the big looming questions is, will we figure out how to earn money? Thankfully we’ve been able to save some to help keep ourselves fed while figuring it out, because we both see nomadic life as something we want to do for a while. It is a dangerous job though because while you are flying over the Midwest, hail can destroy the nose of the airplane and scrape the front windows so the pilot can hardly see. I would think that flying a small propeller airplane wouldn’t be that hard, but I’m sure that flying a big passenger plane like the one in the picture is pretty hard. One reason I would like to fly a passenger airplane is because you get paid around 100,000 to 200,000 dollars a year.

This terrifies me, as I am a private person, and have not been a real big-risk taker in my life up to this point. But I have realized I want to move forward in my life and reach some of my dreams, and make room for new ones. I don’t want to have lived my full life and have the nagging thought ‘if only I’d…’. The idea of putting something out on the internet has the feeling of a lot of permanency behind it, and there is the part of me that wonders if anything I have to say is important enough to put out there. It may not be to most, but may be meaningful to some/one.

It’s sometimes more comfortable not to go there but the goal here is to help you grow and expand. Being authentic means being honest with yourself and others when you don’t want to do something. It means stepping out of your comfort zone and getting a little uncomfortable. It means trying something a little risky or out of the norm for you in order to learn and understand who we truly are and what makes you unique.

Maybe I need a safe space for that to happen. And by safe space, I probably mean a safe relationship. Before you start, I really don’t subscribe to the idea that it’s ‘pathetic’ to want a relationship – they’re what life is all about – so I will continue to aspire to being in a healthy, committed, loving relationship.
