It’s slowly occurring to me that it may take a while to recharge fully. After 22 years of serving others, especially after this past year and a half, it’s time for me to take care of myself. I keep reminding myself that I need a break.

As a teenager and young adult, I wanted to be a writer [but] it became apparent that I did not have the dedication or talent to become a published author

[Stories] have been told through the generations and because they focus on human emotions and failings they are as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago

I want someone who can handle my chaos without trying to shrink it

I was trying to convince myself I was happy, that I was where I wanted to be, where I should be — despite every instinct in my body telling me otherwise
