Mentally i think i was losing it. 1. The stress of not being able to take care of my son the way I want to because I am the size of Texas and had the energy level of a pea. 2. Not being able to keep up with my sons growing energy levels 3. Being closed off from most of society and being stuck at home due to the pandemic 4. Pregnancy hormones. All of this makes a disgusting combination of one hell of a hot mess which was me. except i wasn’t even hot.

I want to talk about how the wait is an illusion

Sometimes we (us Christians) deem waiting as being proof of being a better Christian and we (us again) condemn the impatient – “you just have to wait”, we say from our super high horses as if waiting for that thing they want is all there is to life. And yet, I think there’s an art to doing both. If the impatient didn’t exist, the waiters would do nothing. And if the waiters didn’t exist, the impatient would work with no sense of direction. Waiting allows for God to speak and direct but work allows us to walk out what we say we believe in. Waiting doesn’t have to be measured in weeks or years. It’s better to be discerning and obedient.

Why do you have to wait until you’re old to enjoy life?

I finally got to take a step back and see things in a much slower pace. I got to see myself and get to know her too. And that’s when I realize that I think, my old lifestyle does not suit me anymore. I don’t want to work so hard (especially doing something I don’t want) at the cost of letting life pass me by. I’ll probably get the money but I don’t get to use it because I have no time. Money, since the longest time, has never been a motivation for me. Does not mean I don’t need money, I just need enough for me to live a life I can enjoy.

I really really want to enjoy my life now but I’m too busy anticipating the future and kind of cant wait to have things all figured out in the future

I don’t know where the confidence comes from, but I just cant wait for the future to finally come because I feel like I’ll have it all figured out, maybe it’s just me having high hopes because we all know life is full of challenges and ups and downs and surprises so yeah, the future that I’m waiting for might be not as fun as I picture it to be but as for now I’ll just keep that spirit in me.
