As I decided to take the break, I thought it would give me some time to rearrange my blog, rewrite some of my old posts and fine-tune some details … well, I did almost none of that, and to be honest I don’t feel too bad about it! So for now I’ll say I need to cut back on the blog tours big time. I know I’m doing it to myself by taking them all on, but it just is too much now I’m having to take out more time for myself, in order to rest and recover from recurring bouts of illness, and to do other things offline. I also want to spend more time on doing more different things on my blog, and to really enjoy/love blogging rather than finding it a bit of a stressful thing which lately it has been. I’ve never really found blogging to be too stressful (well I did on old blogs but not on this one), but fulfilling specific blog tour dates has taken it’s toll recently

What I enjoyed about the Bloganuary experience were the different blogging prompts, which seemed random, at least to me. It challenged me to blog about topics I previously would not have. I even wrote a short (very short) story. It allowed me to reminisce about pleasant experiences. It reminded me of books and authors that have inspired me to read and write. Finally, I enjoyed the comradery with fellow bloggers.
