Overall I have enjoyed working on this project the past few months. When I started the brand had only just launched its website and had a little following. It is now close to 500 followers and has started to build a loyal customer base with weekly purchases, and an Instagram account that showcases those customers/users.

Getting paid would put too much pressure on what’s mostly just a fun project

It doesn’t take much of my time (about an hour of my week) and what benefits it does have are worth it to me. I can’t make any great argument that this work directly supports student recruitment and retention but it’s not doing it just to do it. Not to me.

I am messy, I half finish projects, I have too many ideas and I find it hard to focus sometimes. I get creative block, I buy craft materials because they look fun and don’t necessarily have a plan for them. But I do push myself to get better. I explore ideas through my art and craft projects. I want to learn new techniques and try a different way of making something.

I was only in a professional job for 18 months before circumstances trapped me in Costa Rica, and it’s now been a year of unplanned time off in which I’ve been transitioning and building a new life for myself whilst seeing my bank balance go down each month. There have been many obstacles come up, and difficult decisions to make, going against the grain of what I thought I was “supposed” to be doing with my life right now. I’m birthing a lot of projects, but I have no idea when all the pieces of the puzzle are going to fit together, and when the seeds I’ve planted will sprout. I keep myself motivated, positive, and in a mindset of trust, by tuning in with the non-material things that keep me feeling happy and “wealthy” inside.

I like to research and invent new things. Last year I thought of a project a real project that one day or the other but want to make and that is. Do you know in cities like Mumbai, Surat and Nasik are flooded because of heavy rains and in some places like desert in Rajasthan there sometimes water is not there only so I can solve this problem and the plastic can also be less by this.
