Having fun with friends and continuing to build the relationships we have formed over the years will create memories that will last a lifetime. I realize this may be the last opportunity to reminisce with my classmates, but there is also excitement in seeing what each plans to do with his or her life.

I want to push out of my routine and create a new one. A new routine where I write and take photos in addition to working. A new me where if I don’t get my workout in but laughed and played with my family instead I am ok with that. If I want to take some photos the dishes can wait. It’s easy for me to say but harder for me to do as I struggle with OCD and anxiety. I don’t want my children to grow up OCD or anxious like me. I want to encourage my children to grow and explore things and showing them is the best example. My son loves to write and so do I. I am always encouraging him to write but never taking my own advice. So here I am writing.

Now that I don’t have a job to got to, my mornings look a bit different. I really didn’t feel a sense of control over the many tasks that I needed to do in a day and realizing this made me aware that I needed a morning and evening routine. I did some research and the benefits and success stories of people who adopted a routine into part of their day, caused me to want to do the same.

I have struggled to get into a routine, and this has been an issue especially when it comes to productivity. Morning routines to get yourself into the right mindset during the day is so important… especially if you have ADHD (like me) and your mind kind of is all over the place. Even if you don’t have a set schedule, I find that having a routine really helps get you in the mood to do what you need to do.
