I initially thought it might be too much having all 4 of us home constantly these last two weeks. It was actually really wonderful! I thought we might all be on top of each other, in the way, or just getting on each other’s nerves. But, for the most part that wasn’t the case!! I’m sad that he is going back to work. It’s very likely that this was a scenario we may never see again- he typically only takes vacation when we go out of town. When else would he have a full two weeks off just to spend time at home with us??

I will be writing every night after finishing my reading and hope to see some changes. I will be checking off the items and also write what ideas and feelings I have encountered and what change has been happening in terms of both internal and external things in life. Hope I can change and become a better person. Oh and almost forgot, that 6 hours is not only about working. I will be about researching, brainstorming, focusing, creating and also my main work too. I want to be the type of person who can wake up early and immediately exercise. I want to be the type of person who can easily churn out words and have them feel like meaningful progress towards a project. I want to read a lot, and read ahead. But I also don’t want to share as much of myself on the internet as I have in the past. I also know that I don’t want to be exactly who I’ve been before.

These tips have taken me far and have given me small steps to take and the time to do it consistently. Sometimes I underrate the small consistent steps. But in the last two years I can’t believe how far I have come. And it all started with a 10 minute routine that I did while still in bed. It was great to think of what I accomplished before even getting up. And that helped to create motivation that got me up early and to grow a wonderful routine.

Now that I don’t have a job to got to, my mornings look a bit different. I really didn’t feel a sense of control over the many tasks that I needed to do in a day and realizing this made me aware that I needed a morning and evening routine. I have struggled to get into a routine, and this has been an issue especially when it comes to productivity. Morning routines to get yourself into the right mindset during the day is so important… especially if you have ADHD (like me) and your mind kind of is all over the place. Even if you don’t have a set schedule, I find that having a routine really helps get you in the mood to do what you need to do.
